Lakshadweep Islands to be turned into world class destinations

Soon, International and Indian tourists will have world-class tourist destinations on both sides of the Indian peninsula as the central government is looking to promote Eco-tourism on uninhabited islands of Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

The UT Administration of Lakshadweep who is engaged in the development of sustainable eco-tourism projects in the Union Territory (UT) of Lakshadweep Islands, has decided to undertake the development and operation/ maintenance of Suheli Island, Minicoy Island, Kadmat Island with an Eco-Tourism Resort Project.

The project would be developed through Public-Private Partnership on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer basis.

UT Administration of Lakshadweep has therefore decided to carry out the bidding process for the selection of a private entity as the bidder to whom the Project may be awarded.
