Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has proposed to construct a new world-class institutional building, to house four interdisciplinary centres such as:

  • The Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering (BSSE)
  • The Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE)
  • The Centre for Infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation & Urban Planning (CiSTUP)
  • The Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber Physical Systems (RBCCPS)

The upcoming building would be located within the campus at CV Raman Road, Bangalore, India. IISc has identified a site of approximately 4 acres to set up the facility.

This iconic building will dispense with traditional departmental silos, and provide a seamless, world-class environment with state-of-the-art facilities, including mixed work spaces, labs and facilities, and a conducive environment for hosting researchers from across the globe.

About 1000 students, faculty members, researchers and visitors will utilize the space in this building. The project will incorporate green building features with an aim to achieve GRIHA five star rating.
